Frequently Asked Questions
Therapy is an investment in your future. Here are some questions and answers to provide a better understanding of your investment.
What should I do if I or someone I know is feeling suicidal?
If you are feeling suicidal and do not feel confident that you can keep yourself safe, you should call 911, visit your nearest emergency room, or contact the Behavioral Health Charlotte 24/7 Crisis Assistance Helpline at 704.444.2400 or 800.418.2065.
Do you accept any insurance plans?
I value confidentiality and believe that you should guide the length of your therapy. I do not accept insurance, nor am I on any insurance panels. Please be advised, I am required by insurance companies to provide you with a diagnosis code (for example F41.1 Generalized Anxiety Disorder, F43.11 Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Acute, or F33.0 Major Depressive Disorder, Recurrent, Mild). This information will become part of your permanent medical record. However, if you would like to access your out of network benefits, I can provide you with a Statement for Reimbursement form or Superbill. You can submit this form to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Depending on your out of network benefits, you may be able to receive a partial reimbursement for the cost of your session. Please contact your insurance provider to verify your policy includes out of network mental health coverage for counseling services. This form can help you understand your benefits.
